Fundraising is a key component of ensuring that the right support can be given to the Band Programs. Additionally, fundraising allows for you to build upon your students Band Account and use it for things such as:
- Uniforms
- Marching Band Fees/Dues
- Instrument Rentals through the school
- Band Trips
Also known as scrip fundraising, you raise money by using gift cards instead of cash or credit to pay for everyday purchases like groceries, gas, dining out, that morning coffee addiction, even your family’s summer vacation. Each Gift Card you purchase has a rebate tied to it. The rebate varies from card to card, but 100% of the rebate will be returned to your students band account at the end of each month.

During each Thursday Home Game for the Fredericksburg Nationals, the King George Band Parents Association has secured the 1st Baseline Caroline Street Grill. We work the registers and hand out hand/cold food and drinks. The Band earns 10% of the stands gross sales as well as retains all tips earned for the game. Throughout the season, there are 10 home games that we staff. 2023 was our initial year in supporting this fundraising effort, and it was extremely financially beneficial for the Band Parents Association as well as the Students. Currently each volunteer earns $TBD per game for their time volunteering. That money goes directly into the students band account to be used as needed.
